This course is for you if you are a parent, teacher, therapist or healthcare professional who wants to gain an initial understanding of autism, how to recognize it, how the diagnosis is made and what medical and educational interventions are available.
✓ For the parent: I am worried about my child? How do I know if he or she has autism and how to help them?
✓ For the teacher and therapist: How do I recognize autism? What do I tell the parents and how do I help this autistic child.
✓ For the health care professional: What are the symptoms of autism? Where do I refer a child for diagnosis? How do I answer parent’s questions and what interventions should I recommend?
In this course, we will take a journey together to talk about autism and allow ourselves to enter the world of our autistic children who may sometimes seem to be far away. The course instructor Dr. Ramzi Nasir has had the privilege to work and collaborate with many children, families, therapists, teachers, doctors and researchers since 2004. He is sharing his experiences with you providing you with the most up-to-date and evidence-based information about autism.
