In recent years, project management has become a distinct profession in which many find success at. It's also a job that's always in demand and the job market still needs more. The Project Management Institute has found that job growth has exceeded previous expectations for 2020 by 2017. Whether you're about to start looking for a potential career change or even prepare for a new position, it's important to have a basic understanding of the main duties and responsibilities of the project manager role. In the third course of the Project Management specialization, we will focus on the remaining three aspects of project management in general, and the tasks of a project manager in particular. Project managers are responsible for projects from start to finish, ensuring that work is done efficiently and satisfactorily. Project managers are like team leaders with daily schedules that change constantly, so it will be difficult to have a consistent project manager job description. Some days can be filled with planning project operations, creating a budget, managing a team, communicating with clients, or many, many other tasks. We will also highlight the tasks that the project manager should undertake during the initiation phase. In this course, we review the importance of monitoring project work and controlling project performance in terms of schedule, costs and business, especially the concept of integrated change management. This concept is considered one of the most important tools for dealing with changes in the project. We will also review the concept of quality management in the project and how the process of closing the project is carried out in a proper manner.
