The second MOOC of the PM course focuses entirely on the planning aspects of the project, planning in project management is the backbone for everything else. We should expect a clear project after the project is completed. Project planning is the process of setting goals and scope of work, as well as assigning tasks to each step. Project planning is also the scheme of the project. Students will be able to learn the effective way to communicate with stakeholders. Establishing the basic foundation for effective communication with stakeholders will save time, until you reach the end result to finish the project on time and within budget. Students will also learn more about project planning, and what is the scope of the project. A detailed project plan will enable the project manager to define the project scope, build the WBS, and be able to properly estimate the resources needed to execute the project and then create delivery schedule for the project and build its budget. MOOC 2 also will underline the importance of risk management and the different types of procurement types that might be used in project management.
